DANCE CLASSES
You’ll be part of a small, dedicated beginner group (up to 30 people), so you won’t feel lost in the crowd and we'll also have some experienced 'taxi' dancers on hand to help you along.
By the end of the weekend you’ll be able to dance a range of beginners moves in a series of sequences that you can use anywhere a dance floor beckons. Each short sequence of 3 moves can be repeated over and over again, or added to another sequence - and you can add a move to any sequence to extend it too - it's like dance Lego!

WHY CEROC?
Ceroc has been teaching people to dance for over 40 years and is recognised as the easiest partner dance for complete beginners to learn - it's essentially a 'walking' dance so there is no complicated footwork. It's a blend of Jive, Salsa and Ballroom but is a lot less complicated, and we also dance to all kinds of music so it's a lot easier on the ear too!
To have a quick look at what the dance looks like just click this video link. This shows the format of regular beginner's classes as well as some social dancing too.
THE FULL WEEKEND EXPERIENCE
This weekend is more than just classes and you can participate in being part of a real Ceroc Dance Weekend as much, or as little, as you prefer.
Whilst you will have your own dedicated classes at the event, the PURE Dance Weekender is a vibrant dance event with over 500 dancers, so you can:
• Watch experienced dancers in action
• Join in freestyle dancing each evening
• Socialise in a relaxed, welcoming environment
• Take part in a fun Saturday afternoon pub quiz
It’s inspiring and a lot of fun and will open your eyes to an entirely new social scene that you could explore after your weekend is over if you wanted to.

DANCE CLASSES FAQS
I have 2 left feet, is it really that easy to learn?
Ceroc is a walking dance so there are no fancy foot patterns; it really is the easiest partner dance to learn! Naturally, there is a lot to take in initially as you will be learning a new skill, but our teachers are trained to break everything down into bite-size chunks to make it achievable for anyone.
I am on my own and don't have a partner, is that OK?
Absolutely! Many people come to Ceroc on their own and make new friends on their first night. On this weekend, the welcome meeting and orientation lesson will do wonders to bring you all together as a group right at the outset.
Do I have to wear any special clothes or shoes?
Ceroc is very relaxed so wear what you are most comfortable in. And you don't need 'special shoes' but it's best not to wear rubber soled shoes like trainers.

CAN I CARRY ON DANCING AFTER THE WEEKEND?
There is a huge network of Ceroc class nights across the UK, so if you love it and want to carry on learning after the weekend, you’ll be sure to find a class near you.
Likewise, if you can't make this weekend and want to try a Ceroc class just visit Ceroc.com HERE to find out more.
Every class night across the UK starts with a beginners class so you'll feel right at home.
